Rogue Weekend

Saturday Shan and I went to Nissan to see about trading in the X-Trail a little early. OK like a year early. We are almost at our max for KM’s and decided it would be better to trade her in early than pay 0.10/km when we bring it back in the end. We drove the “Juke” and it was just too small and the visibility was very limited. Next we drove the Rogue and liked it almost instantly. I think mostly because it’s very close to the same size as the X-Trail. Regardless that truck was good to us and I will miss it dearly.

Sunday night was “Movie Night” with the gang from school. Jacky offered to host the first one out in Lorette so it was nice and close for me. It may have been a bit far for the others because only Buhler and I made it out. I love how people rallied for a certain time on Sunday, got their way…and then never even came. Stellar.

Monday was another “Family Day” at Roblin Park CC. As always it was nice to see everyone and this year Janet took it up a notch with some “Minute To Win It” competition. It was very cool. Lexi had fun hanging out with all the kids but her asthma really came out in full force when she ran around, even just a little. Hopefully it’s just because of this cold she is getting over.

Ashlyn Emily Marie

We found out last week that we have another little girl on board. I know it’s never 100% but we are so sure we even decided to post the name! I also realize most people choose to keep the name quiet until the day she is born but just couldn’t wait. OK I couldn’t wait. We have been passing around names like crazy and then one day Lexi got a new dolly and we asked her what her name was. She stopped and thought about it for a minute and said “Ashlyn”. Shan and I just kinda looked at each other and smiled. Finally we agree on one, thanks Lex.

Been another crazy week. Lexi has been up coughing for the last 2 nights. We kept her home on Monday and she seemed a lot better so we sent her to daycare on Tuesday. For some strange reason her fever spiked again after nap time and I got the dreaded call at school that she was throwing up. When I finally got there (joys of living in Lorette) she seemed fine. She was happy and energetic and asking to go to the swings. It’s amazing how much she can go from super sick to OK. She is going to visit Dr. Hilderman today just in case.

Neck pain gone. Sunday at hockey I found out what it was like to play without pain. It actually made a difference to my game to be able to look to the left! This new Chiropractor in Lorette is awesome. Feel so much better. Now I just need to catch up on the sleep and I might feel human again.

School is going well and I am starting to consider where to take my practicum. Looking forward to getting out there and doing some interviews!
